UNH offers students the opportunity to take smaller, more intense "Honors" courses for an enriched academic experience. There are two different honors "tracks": Honors in Major, and University Honors in Major.
-
Honors in Communication (without University Honors; 3.2 GPA and 3.5 GPA in CMN) - A student completes honors work in three 600- or 700-level courses, at least one of which must be designated as an honors course by the department. In addition, Honors in Communication students must successfully complete CMN 799H, Senior Honors Thesis.
-
University Honors in Communication (both University and Departmental Honors; 3.2 GPA and 3.5 GPA in CMN required) - Students must complete four Honors Gen Ed courses, including one first-year/sophomore honors seminar (INCO 444H), PLUS fulfill the requirements for honors work in their major (as described above). Interested students should consult with Professor Mardi Kidwell, Director of the Communication Honors Program (862-3036), and the University Honors Program Office.
