Eligibility to Participate in Commencement
- Both Graduate and Undergraduate students who received their degree in September or December of 2007 will automatically be invited to participate in the Commencement ceremony on May 24, 2008.
- Undergraduates who expect to complete their degree in May, or who will be within eight credits of completing their degree, must file their Intent-to-Graduate form with the Registrar's Office at Stoke Hall to participate in Commencement. The deadline to file your Intent-to-Graduate form without a late fee is Feb 15, 2008.
- Masters and CAGS students who expect to complete their degree program in May 2008, as well as those who expect to complete their programs at the end of the summer term following the Commencement ceremony (September 2008), are eligible to participate in the May Commencement.
- Doctoral students who expect to graduate in May must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. by the published deadlines in order to participate in Commencement ceremonies. Only those candidates who have completed their program are listed in the Commencement program. Special instructions regarding the hooding ceremony will be sent to all Ph.D. students and their sponsors once they indicate their intention to participate in the ceremony.
- Students who file their Intent-to-Graduate form for either May or September by March 24 will be listed in the Commencement Book.
