Services at Commencement
The 2008 Commencement Ceremony will take place outdoors at Memorial Field on May 24. There will be a live simulcast in the Whittemore Center Arena in case of inclement weather or for those individuals who would be more comfortable viewing the ceremony from indoors.
The procession will begin promptly at 9:45 a.m. with graduating students, followed by faculty and the platform party. The ceremony is anticipated to end by 12:30 p.m.
Information & Lost and Found
Staff at two information tents will be available to answer questions or to handle lost-and-found items. Commemorative t-shirts will also be for sale at the information tents.
Refreshments
For the comfort and convenience of guests, a variety of beverages, breakfast, and lunch items will be available to purchase before the ceremony under the refreshment tents at Memorial Field and in the concessions in the Whittemore Center Arena.
Medical Assistance
Medical help will be available at the first-aid stations.
UNH Memorabilia
Commemorative t-shirts will be for sale at the information tables. The UNH Alumni Association and the UNH Bookstore will also be selling UNH memorabilia at Memorial Field. Flowers will also be available for purchase at Memorial Field.
Photographs
During the ceremony, all graduates will be photographed as they receive their diploma. There is no fee for this service, and there is no obligation to purchase photos. Candidates will be sent proofs and information on ordering photos at their permanent address, as held by the Registrar, following the ceremony. For information, call Chappell Studio at 800-424-3686.
Yearbooks
All graduating seniors will be sent a complimentary copy of The Granite yearbook. This will be sent to the senior's permanent address, as held by the Registrar, in the winter following commencement.
