Platform Party

The 2008 Commencement ceremony will be a very special and exciting day here at the University of New Hampshire. Members of the platform party represent a cross section of the UNH community.  As a member of the platform party, you play a significant role in the University’s celebration of the achievements of our graduating students as well as the distinguished awardees who exemplify outstanding academic, professional, or civic achievement.

Please register to indicate your participation, request guest passes, a parking space, and order your academic regalia.

Academic Regalia

Please take an inventory of your academic regalia to make sure it is ready for the ceremony on May 24.  Now is the time to consider whether it needs to be dry-cleaned. Presidential Events and Programs can make arrangements for the rental or replacement of regalia through the registration form.

Schedule

Members of the platform party are asked to report to the platform party robing room at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 24. The robing room is located in the Hamel Recreation Center, Room 105. The student procession will begin at 9:45 a.m. followed by the platform party processional onto Memorial Field.

Parking

D Lot at the Elliott Alumni Center has been reserved for members of the platform party and faculty until 9:45 a.m. Please indicate on the registration form if you will require a parking pass for D Lot.

Please note, on Commencement day the traffic in and around Durham is extremely heavy. Please plan to arrive in Durham no later than 9:00 a.m. Please refer to the campus map to locate D Lot.
