1. How do I know if I can walk (i.e., I graduated in September or December 2007)?
Please view the criteria for eligibility to participate.

2. How do I know if I'm registered to walk?
You must register online to walk at the Commencement ceremony.

3. Where and when do I get my cap and gown.
Caps and gowns will be available for purchase at the Commencement Fair in the Granite State room of the MUB on April 15th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will also be available at the Elliot Alumni Center on May 19-22 from 10 am to 5 p.m. and on May 23rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can also order regalia. All undergraduates purchase gowns because the negotiated buying price is less than the cost of renting. Masters and doctoral candidates have the option of renting or purchasing.

4. What time should candidates (those graduating) arrive?
Candidates walking in the ceremony are asked to arrive at their lineup areas by 9:00 a.m.

5. What time should guests arrive?
The procession of candidates begins at 9:45 a.m. We suggest that guests plan on arriving in Durham by 8:15 a.m. Click here for directions to the UNH campus.

6. How long is the ceremony?
The ceremony begins with the procession at 9:45 a.m and is anticipated to end by 12:30 p.m.

7. How do I get my senior picture taken or put in the yearbook?
Senior pictures are coordinated through the Granite Year Book office.

8. How do I order announcements?
The UNH Alumni Association Marketplace (1-800-891-1195) offers custom graduation announcements, diploma frames, commemorative DVDs, and class rings. The marketplace also offers a wide assortment of UNH memorabilia from sweatshirts to clocks to chairs. Graduation announcements are also available at Town & Campus on Main Street in Durham (1-800-851-1016).

9. Is the ceremony location dependent upon weather?
The ceremony takes place outdoors on May 24 rain or shine. There will also be a live simulcast in case of inclement weather or for those individuals who would be more comfortable viewing the ceremony indoors.

10. I have a relative or friend that has mobility impairments. What special accomodations are there?
There is reserved seating for guests with mobility impairments. The university encourages guests to arrive early to ensure seating. Students can request tickets for guests with mobility impairments when they register to attend the ceremony. The registration site will be up in mid-March.

11. When is the Honors Convocation? How long does it last?
Honors Convocation is on Friday, May 23, at 4 p.m. and is anticipated to end by 6 p.m. It will take place in the Whittemore Center Arena.
