This organization was originally supported by the Instructional Technology Faculty Development Program to support the integration of instructional technology into the teaching tools available to faculty members of the College of Liberal Arts. The group's activity has ceased for the moment in 2008. Here are some past events.
Wednesday, August 29th 2007 there was a lecture entitled "New Technologies, New Literacies: How Teachers Can Keep Up with These Kids Today," to be given by Dr. Alice J. Robinson of MIT's Comparative Media Studies Program. The lecture was be followed by a brief panel discussion (featuring members of our COLA faculty and a recent graduate) and a Q&A session.
This was our final TTLA event! After three years of successful workshops, round tables, focus groups, presentations and other technology related events, we have finished the grant cycle and must turn towards new adventures.
A schedule for the events on the 29th is available [MS Word document 38k]. For the latest information visit the Teaching with Technology in the Liberal Arts page on Blackboard.
Our first activity was a workshop for COLA faculty entitled Teaching Technology in Liberal Arts, in August 2004. The centerpiece of this workshop was a keynote lecture by Dr. Judith Boetccher, open to the entire UNH community. This talk set the frame for a variety of presentations by UNH technology specialists and hands-on activities during the two days of our event (see schedule).
Other past events are listed at the TTLA Blackboard site.
