Fourth Annual Transportation Student Research Symposium - Boston University Photonics Center

Jesse Sipple and John Welch attended and presented there current research at the symposium which was sponsored the Massachusetts Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers. The presented there projects to groups of both researchers and industry professionals and also were part of a poster session that was open to the public. There presentations can be seen here:


Rollins Road Bridge Test

On April 28, 2008 researchers from the University of New Hampshire in conjunction with New Hampshire Department of Transportation personnel and industry researchers conducted a load test at Rollins Road Bridge in Rollinsford, NH. A 40,000lb truck was placed on the bridge at predetermined locations and strain, displacement, and temperature readings were taken. This information will be used for structural parameter estimation and model updating.

SEI 2008 Structures Congress – Vancouver, BC

Jesse Sipple presented his research at the SEI 2008 Structures Congress which took place in Vancouver, BC. The conference included several sessions on a wide variety of current, ongoing research in the field of structural engineering. Jesse presented to a group of researchers and industry professionals.

 

SEI 2009 Structures Congress – Austin, TX

John Welch will be attending the SEI 2009 Structures Congress in Austin, TX to present his research.
