Service Interruptions - December 2004

Unscheduled VMS System Outage - 12/22/04; 3:15pm
The VMS systems (UNHA, UNHB and UNHN) are currently experiencing an unscheduled network and systems outage. System administrators are aware of the problem and working to restore service as soon as possible. This web page will have the most current information at all times. Unscheduled Network Outage 12/1/04; 7:23pm
A component of our Internet Router reloaded at approximately 7:23pm this evening. One of the adapters connecting the router to our ATM switch did not reload correctly until the adapter in question was manually reset.

This would have affected PSU Internet1/WAN services, KSC Internet/WAN services, as well as well as our secondary Internet connection to Verizon. Also affected were Linwood HS, Seresc, Fire Academy, Police Standards, NHDOT, Gregg Public Safety, and Gorham/NCESD.

Internet2 services would have only been affected for a few moments at 7:23, but returned to normal operation immediately, as did our commodity Internet feed from GlobalCrossing.
