Notice to UNH Exchange E-mail Clients - 12/2003
Upgrade to Exchange 2000 is imminent!!! The CIS Technical Services and Consulting Group, after many months of work in our simulated lab, is ready to migrate from the current Microsoft Exchange 5.5 application to MS Exchange 2000. The scope of this migration is substantial, as MS Active Directory is a core component of MS Exchange 2000. The learning curve and test implementation have been daunting but successful! In order to implement the upgrade without widespread disruptions of service or major client inconvenience, this migration will be performed in steps over the next couple of months.

During the upgrade timeframe, some users may notice differences in the way that some things appear in Outlook, as well as performance of the e-mail servers, while others may not observe these changes for a while. To keep users apprised of our progress as well as convey important changes, FAQ’s, etc., we have created the following webpage: www.outlook.unh.edu/upgrade.
