AD/VPN Firewall Connectivity Problem - 10/05/06; UPDATE 11:21am
The AD/VPN firewall has been experiencing slower response time and loss of connectivity in recent day.
Telecommunications staff identified the problem and made the necessary changes to restore connectivity
and full response time to the firewall. Users experiencing slow response time authenticating to AD/VPN
should reboot their computers. If you continue to experience significant slowness, please contact
the Help Desk immediately at 603-862-4242.
Scheduled Network Upgrade/Outage and Possible Impact - Postponed
The cutover to the new GIGethernet WAN link to Global Crossing has been postponed. During preparation for the
cutover, technicians discovered some issues with the new link to both Global Crossing and to the NOX.
Technicians will be working with GC/NEON and the NOX to find the problem as quickly as possible and
reschedule the work.

AD Controller Reboot - 9/28/06; 12:00pm
One of the AD domain controllers will be rebooted on Thursday, 9/28/06 at 12:00pm.
This reboot may cause users to lose their connection to the Exchange global address book. Restarting
the Outlook client should resolve the problem. Expected server downtime should not exceed 15 minutes.

UNHF Reboot Scheduled - 9/27/06; 6:00pm
The UNHF server will be rebooted on Wednesday, 9/27/06 at 6:00pm to correct a mirroring problem causing
a significant delay in UNHF-queued print jobs. Expected downtime should not exceed 15 minutes.

Internet access for all on-campus student subnets will be unavailable on Thursday, 9/14/06
starting at 11:00pm while technicians make emergency repairs to critical network hardware.
