Scheduled Network Outage 8/30-9/3/2004 UPDATE 8/26/04; 2:55pm
Verizon plans to perform necessary upgrades on Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning, and Wednesday evening/Thursday morning. Circuits served out of Manchester will be affected on T/W, and circuits served out of Nashua/Concord on W/Th. Although KSC is not listed as an affected site, perceived connectivity to the Internet, Internet2, and UNH WAN will be affected since the Durham end will be part of the Verizon upgrade.

Verizon has informed us that there will be software upgrades in their network next week. This upgrade will affect connectivity during an 11pm-6am maintenance window during ONE night next week between Monday and Friday. Verizon is unable to provide a more specific date at this time. During these hours, all Verizon services will be affected during this time for UNHM, The Colleges of Lifelong Learning, Cooperative Extension Services, GSDLN, NHCTC, PSU, and NEAT networks. This will affect Internet, Internet2, and WAN connectivity for the aforementioned locations. UNH Durham campus will still have Internet/Internet2 services during the window, but connectivity to said locations will be affected. Internet2 switching service to Dartmouth College will be affected during this window. This will affect voice/video services to the aforementioned locations during this window. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your cooperation.
