Two hundred computers were disconnected from the UNH network in the UNH student residence halls at noon today, following yesterday’s voice message to owners of those computers that they are exhibiting behavior on the UNH network that strongly suggests that their machines are infected with malicious software that impacts the UNH network, and endangers other clients on the campus. Information about protecting computers can be found at http://www.virus.unh.edu. Owners of disconnected computers can pick up a CD and instructions at the MUB Walk-in Service counter, that will help them protect their machines, and be reconnected to the UNH network.
