Unscheduled Wide Area Network Outage 9/16/03 - UPDATE 2:02pm
A Verizon infrastructure problem caused intermittent communication problems on the USNH network starting at 11:52am. This problem affected access to UNH resources from KSC, PSU, and UNHM, as well as all Internet access for UNHM, NHCTC/Littleton, GSDLN, and some CLL/CES locations. It also affected voice trunking to UNHM. It also affected Internet2 services to UVM, PSU, and KSC. Videoconferencing services to GSDLN/USNH locations may also have been affected. All services are restored at this time, but Verizon advises that there may be further intermittent outages in the next hour. This web page will have the most current information at all times. A fiber line problem in the Portsmouth, NH area has been determined as the cause of current network outages. Banner Server Saturn (BPRD) Unavailable - 9/15/03 - UPDATE 10:21am
The current Banner server outage may begin to affect users currently logged in. Up until this point, users only had a problem creating new Banner sessions. If you receive an Oracle form trigger error message and aren't able to exit the form that you are in, then as a last resort you can end the Banner session by closing the web browser. September 4, 2003 - Unplanned Network Outage 6:15pm-6:30pm
A piece of USNH networking hardware was not functioning correctly, and was reloaded to clear a connectivity issue. All Internet and Wide Area Network services were disrupted periodically during this time for UNH, UNHM, the College for Lifelong Learning, Cooperative Extension Service, Lee System Office, Jackson Labs, ORHS, and Neat Networks.

Additionally, intercampus Wide Area Network service was disrupted among UNH, PSU, KSC, and UNHM. This affected Internet service for PSU, KSC, and GSDLN. This did not affect voice and video services for any of the campuses/networks noted, nor Internet 2 services for Dartmouth College and the University of Vermont. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for all your patience.
