BR1 System Downtime - 8/20/04
The BR1 server will be unavailable from 10:00pm Friday, 8/20/04 until 10:00pm Saturday, 8/21/04 for hardware
diagnostics. BR1 will be unaccessible during this time frame.

CISUNIX Server Downtimes - 8/22/04
Bamboo (the system on which CIS Unix WebMail runs) will be unavailable for about 20 minutes between 7am and 8am
on Sunday, August 22 for a OS kernel upgrade. Existing sessions will be interrupted, and any messages you're
composing at the time will probably be lost (so don't do that). The downtime announcement on the WebMail login
page will be removed when it's safe to use WebMail again.
Hypatia (one of the CIS Unix login servers) will be unavailable between 7am and 10am on Sunday, August 22 for
an OS patch kit installation. Turing and Pascal, the other two login servers, should remain available during
this time.
Banner Systems Downtime - 8/19/04
BANNER Finance, BANNER HR, and BANNER Student will be unavailable Thursday, August 19 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM for software maintenance.

Banner, Reporting Systems Downtime - 8/14 - 8/15
BANNER Finance, BANNER HR, BANNER Student, Web Intelligence Reporting System, InfoEd and Kronos will be
unavailable Saturday, August 14 from 8:00 AM until Monday, 6:30 AM for an operating system upgrade to
the Unix cluster.

ACADEMIC Server Downtime 8/11/04
The server ACADEMIC (academic.unh.edu) will be unavailable from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Wednesday, August 11.
This is to transfer the identity (name and IP address) of the system to a new server purchased this summer.
This downtime will affect the availability of all of the following applications used either campus-wide or
in specific departments:
ArcView (Student Computing Cluster installations only) Aspen Delphi FEMLAB Maple Matlab Pro Engineer (Student
Computing Cluster installations only) Sibelius Small Stata S-Plus (Student Computing Cluster installations
only) SPSS TreeAge Pro
In addition, the following products will be upgraded to new releases as part of the installation of the new server:
Aspen
Maple
Matlab
SPSS
Users of Aspen, Maple, and SPSS will have to upgrade their client installations of the programs to work with
the new server-side components of these applications. Detailed instructions will be made available at
http://at.unh.edu/acs/services/software/ on August 11.
CISUNIX Server Downtime - 08/01/04
The CISUNIX Servers and CISUNIX systems will be unavailable on Sunday, 8/1/04 from 7:00am to 1:00pm for data center hardware maintenance.

CIS Data Center Downtime - 08/01/04; 7:00am - 1:00pm
The following services will be unavailable on Sunday, August 1 from 7:00 AM until 1:00 PM due to the
shutdown of the 1 Leavitt Lane Data Center: e-mail (Unix and Exchange), file serving, Blackboard, UNHINFO,
BANNER Finance/HR, BANNER Student, Web Intelligence Reporting System, InfoEd, Kronos, mailing lists, FAMIS,
Alumni Benefactor and the VMS cluster, which includes remote print management. The data center will be
shutdown due to fire suppression system inspection.
