CISUNIX Server Turing Unavailable - 2/22/05; UPDATE 10:03am
The CISUNIX e-mail server Turing is being rebooted as of 10:03am Tuesday, 2/22/05. Attempting to connect and access e-mail multiple times may eventually result in a valid connection to an alternate CISUNIX server while the Turing server is being rebooted. Expected downtime should not exceed 30 minutes, at which time full connectivity should be restored.

The CISUNIX e-mail server Turing is currently experiencing an unscheduled systems outage. This outage appears to be affecting the ability to connect to the CISUNIX servers via a POP3 client (i.e. Eudora, Outlook Express, Apple Mail). Attempting to connect and access e-mail multiple times may eventually result in a valid connection to an alternate CISUNIX server. Unscheduled Network Outage 2/9/2005; 9:35AM
We experienced an unplanned network outage this morning at 9:35am. There were significant physical errors on one of the fiber-optic which serve UNH. This would have caused intermittent latency/connectivity issues for about 10 minutes. This would have impacted Internet1/Internet2/WAN connectivity for UNH, PSU, KSC, CLL, CES, USNH System Office, and GSDLN locations. This would not have affected Internet2 switching services for Dartmouth or the IOL.

Unscheduled Phone Network Outage 2/3/05; 7:38am UPDATE 2/7/05; 12:02pm
The campus-wide phone service disruption was traced to a Paetec outage, and service was restored by Paetec by 9:11am. Paetec is the Telecommunications vendor that delivers incoming calls to the campus.

The University campus is currently affected by an external service disruption that is preventing outside callers from calling into UNH. Calls within the University System do not appear to be affected by this outage. Telecommunications staff is aware of the problem and working to restore service as soon as possible. The University campus is currently experiencing an unscheduled network and systems outage. This outage appears to be affecting Kingsbury Hall, Pettee Hall, Dimond Library, McConnell Hall and Elliot Alumni Center. Connectivity problems may not be limited to only these buildings as reports of further connection problems have been received.
