Residence Halls Network Problem - February 28, 2002
Internet service for UNH students in the residence halls suffered disruptions for approximately 24 hours, starting at 11:50 AM on Wednesday February 27. Equipment feeding Internet to UNH student residence hall subnets failed. Attempts to recover the equipment failed as well. Equipment was replaced, configured and back on-line at approximately 1:00 PM. Since then, amid further reports of slow performance we diagnosed and resolved several other related problems. Internet performance was fully restored by approximately 10:00 AM on Feb 28. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

FRESH Network Problem - February 21, 2002
Users began experiencing slowdowns and dropouts after noon on Feb 20. We responded with a temporary fix by reconfiguring the VPN connections at that time. At 7:51am on Feb 21 we implemented the appropriate permanent change. A configuration problem on an ethernet switch created a loop which caused network failure and prevented several users from being able to connect to FRESH systems. We discovered and corrected this at 8:07am. We apologize for the inconvenience.
