All connectivity to the CISUNIX server Hypatia has been restored as of 9:02am Wednesday, 1/26/05.
CISUNIX Server Hypatia Unavailable - 1/26/05; 8:11am
The CISUNIX server Hypatia is currently experiencing an unscheduled network and systems outage.
Server administrators are aware of the problem and working to restore service as soon as
possible. Connectivity should be restored by 8:30am Wednesday, 1/26/05.

Unscheduled Network Outage 1/20/05; UPDATE 2:38pm
Infrastructure work being performed by one of our fiber carriers
caused intermittent instability in a piece of network hardware.
This instability lasted about 45 minutes.
Locations affected included Internet/Internet2/WAN service for UNH,
PSU, KSC, CLL, CES, UNHM, and all other USNH/GSDLN locations.
This would not have affected ATM-delivered voice/video services to
UNHM, PSU, or KSC. This would not have affected Internet2 switching for Dartmouth. If you have any

The University campus is currently experiencing an unscheduled network and systems outage.
This outage appears to be affecting off-campus connectivity at this time.

Durham-Manchester Phone Trunk Outage 1/05/05; UPDATE 3:44pm
The Durham-Manchester phone trunk line has been restored as of 3:44pm Wednesday, 1/05/05.

Durham-Manchester Phone Trunk Outage 1/05/05; 11:44am
The Durham-Manchester phone trunk line is currently experiencing an unscheduled system
outage as of 11:44am Wednesday, 1/05/05. This outage is preventing 5-digit calling
between the Durham and Manchester campuses. Any users attempting to call between campuses must dial
9 and the entire 7-digit phone number.
Telecommunications staff is aware of the problem and working to restore service as soon as

PSU/KSC Commodity Internet Connectivity Outage - 1/1/2005; 11:56am
A piece of network routing hardware in Durham functioned incorrectly following a software reset
of same, causing the commodity Internet connections to PSU and KSC to be affected between ~11:56am
on 1/1/2005 and ~7:20pm on 1/2/2005.
This outage only affected commodity Internet services to PSU and KSC. WAN and Internet2 services for
these locations were not affected. No other UNH/USNH/CLL/CES/GSDLN resources were affected.
