MY PARTY Virus Updated January 29, 2002
The My Party virus is an email worm virus. It does send out copies of the worm to addresses in the users mailbox. More info about the characteristics of the virus can be found at the Virus Alerts link at www.virus.unh.edu.
The Exchange server is cleaning the virus attachment, so exchange users are protected.
The Cisunix Administrator is blocking SMTP (simple mail transfer protocol) access on computers that appear to have sent out the virus.
