Financing
Finding an affordable program
Out-of-state students can often find a program for the same amount or less than they pay in Durham. Because New Hampshire residents typically find that a semester abroad will cost a bit more than in-state tuition, they may want to explore UNH Managed or UNH Exchange programs for which UNH tuition is charged.
Guidance from study abroad advisors
To begin exploring affordable options, visit the Center for International Education (CIE), Hood House 223. Knowledgeable faculty and staff advisors will acquaint you with the programs available, and provide you with a "Financing Study Abroad Worksheet" to help you determine the expenses associated with different programs.
Federal Guidelines for Financial Aid
UNH currently allows federal, state, and institutional aid (except Work/Study) to transfer for all UNH Managed or UNH Approved programs abroad.
Scholarships and Grants
Please visit the Scholarships & Fellowships section for information about UNH and external funding for study abroad.
