Diversity Resources 
There is a large amount of information and support for under represented groups in study abroad. The key is for you to take the initiative and learn more about what resources are available to you. Please also feel free to consult with the UNH Office of Diversity Initiatives, UNH Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, and the UNH Disability Services for Students as well as the CIE for more information.
- Access International Education provides resources for students who are members of underrepresented groups in study abroad. It guides and prepares them for internationalizing their education and what to expect from the experience.
- Green-Travel provides links to sites for ecological, sustainable, and responsible travel. For example, you'll find links to the UNESCO World Heritage List, the World Guide to Vegetarianism, and Intentional Communities on the Web. It also updates online ecotourism guides.
- Journeywoman is a site for female travelers. Women from all walks of life will find articles, resources and tips for solo travel, and country-specific advice on dress and customs.
- Mobility International USA works in four main areas to provide programs and services including: National Clearinghouse on Disability & Exchange (NCDE), International Development & Disability, International Exchange Programs, Women, Disability and Development. Mobility International USA is a cross-disability organization serving those with cognitive, hearing, learning, mental health-related, physical, systemic, vision and other disabilities.
- Out & About is the established newsletter for gay and lesbian travelers. Detailed information on specific destinations is only available through subscription, however, the site still provides ratings and reviews, useful links and resources, as well as articles on issues of general interest to gay and lesbian travelers.
- The NAFSA Rainbow SIG provides information, links, and resources for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered international student community and study abroad students. This is an excellent resource guide to help all students better understand the benefits and challenges of the culture in which you will be studying, traveling, and living.
- The Project for Learning Abroad, Training and Outreach (PLATO) is an integrated study abroad training, certification, and diversity outreach program. To provide comprehensive support resources for study abroad to all US college and university students – with special support for underrepresented students.
