UNH Scholarships and Nominations 
Center for International Education (CIE) Scholarships - The Center for International Education conducts a bi-annual scholarship competition (spring and fall) and awards several $500-$1,500 grants to eligible undergraduates. Scholarships awarded in the spring competition will be awarded on the basis of the statement of purpose, recommendation, with a strong focus on academic merit. Scholarships awarded in the fall competition will be awarded on the basis of the statement of purpose, recommendation, with a strong focus on financial need.
Applicants must be full-time degree candidates who have at least 32 hours earned credit, a declared major, and a 3.0 minimum GPA. The deadline for the spring competition is March 23, 2012 and October 8, 2012 for the fall competition.

Foley-Jackson Scholarship for International Studies - Each year, letters are sent to UNH sophomores who are New Hampshire residents, eligible to study abroad and meet the Financial Aid Office’s definition of grant-eligible financial need, inviting them to apply for this special study abroad scholarship.
International Research Opportunities Program (IROP) - UNH undergraduate students from all fields of study may apply in the spring of their sophomore year or the fall of their junior year for substantial grants to conduct nine-week summer research projects abroad. Following a junior year of preparation, students conduct their research during the summer preceding their senior year. Click on program name above for more information.

Boren Awards for International Study - This nationally-competitive program for U.S. citizens provide grants to exceptional students who wish to study in areas of the world outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Though Boren accepts applications in all fields of study, it is especially interested in supporting students in education, the sciences, business, health, and technical fields. There is a service obligation upon students’ return that may be fulfilled in specified federal agencies with national security interests.
Critical Language Scholarship Program (CLS) - A program of United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program will offer intensive summer language institutes overseas in thirteen critical need foreign languages.
DAAD Scholarships for study in Germany - DAAD offers a wide range of opportunities to students, scholars, and higher education institutions of the United States and Canada, from undergraduate students to faculty, for study and research in Germany.
Gilman International Scholarship - The Gilman International Scholarship Program offers significant awards for undergraduate study abroad. This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.
Rhodes Scholarship - The Rhodes Scholarship is an international award for study at the University of Oxford in England.
