Monday, August 19 | COMMUTERS: PLEASE GO TO PARKING SERVICES TO PURCHASE A PARKING PASS PRIOR TO COMING TO ORIENTATION. You will need your driver’s license with you and proof of an off-campus address. You will park in A Lot and walk across campus to Parsons Hall. See campus map for parking and building locations. | |
8:30 a.m. | Orientation Begins: General Meeting for new students with Graduate Coordinator, Prof. Howard Mayne. Department welcome, Administrative orientation, Chem 800 course introduction and Assignment, etc. | |
10:00 a.m. - | Placement Exam #1 (Physical) | |
12:00 p.m - 1:30 p.m. | Lunch at Holloway Commons with two current graduate students. All to meet outside the Chemistry Department Office (W115) and go to Holloway Commons from there. | |
1:30 p.m. - | Placement Exam #2 (Analytical) Prof. Tomellini | |
Tuesday, August 20 | 8:00 a.m. - | Graduate School Orientation – Mandatory for all students. |

| Note: Fire Extinguisher Training and on-line Hazardous waste training will be scheduled with Environmental Healthy & Safety (EH&S). Hazardous Waste Training must be completed within 2 weeks of email notification by EH&S. |
