Scheduling for Research Progress Reports begins for Second Year MS Graduate Students by Cindi Rohwer with your committee. Your report date and time will be determined and emailed to you. Your outline should be in to your advisor at least 2 weeks prior to your report date.

Annual Department Pie Contest – Pies due in by 10 am, judging before noon. Pie sales at noon and proceeds go towards the Holiday Party. Prizes and bragging rights for the winners. Last year’s winners were Tiffany Hatstat, Benjamin Stewart and Sue Harris.
Saturday, December 6, 2014 – Tentative Date for the Chemistry Department Annual Holiday Party (Second date possible is 12/13/14)
Thursday, December 25th, 2014 UNH Closes for Winter Break through January 2, 2015 • Winter break, University holidays, offices closed.
If you choose to research in Parsons during this time, please be advised that the building will be colder due to energy savings over the break.
No Organic Comprehensive Exam in December
Spring 2015 - Semester II
Thursday, January 15, 2015 – Second Year Ph.D. Students submit an OUTLINE of their research progress report in to their advisor (see Grad Handbook at www.unh.edu/chemistry for details).
No Organic COMPREHENSIVE EXAM IN JANUARY
Research Proposal: Students in their third year are to submit an abstract of the proposal to their committee by February 1st.
February 16, 2015 (Since 2-15-15 is a Sunday)
Research Progress Report: All Second Year Ph.D. Students are to submit a fuller version of their research progress report in to their advisor for review.
Saturday, February 21, 2015 9 a.m. Room W131 Parsons Organic Comprehensive Exam (CUME)
Scheduling begins for Second Year Ph.D. student research progress reports by Cindi Rohwer with your committee. Your report date and time will be determined and emailed to you. Your outline should be in to your advisor at least 2 weeks prior to your report date.
Third Year Ph.D. Students begin to coordinate their research proposal defense dates with their committee members. Please apprise Cindi Rohwer of set date and time so she can schedule a room for you.
