Electroplating (Dale Barkey)

Kingsbury S323

Electrodeposition of metals is a process technology used to form functional, protective or decorative coatings or objects. Research in our laboratory focuses on deposition of copper and tin for applications in electronics and semiconductor manufacture. Corrosion: Corrosion is the electrochemical degradation of metals in natural and industrial environments. Current activities include a study of corrosion of steel reinforcement near patch repairs in concrete structures, and a study of corrosion processes in copper electroplating baths.
