Academic Mentors

Academic Mentors (AMs) are undergraduate students with valuable experience and specialized training to coach their peers on how to reach their academic goals. After meeting with an educational counselor, you may opt to work one on one with a mentor to:

  • Start studying smarter, not harder
  • Manage your time productively
  • Learn strategies to overcome procrastination
  • Improve your presentation skills
  • Manage exam anxiety
  • Navigate Canvas/myCourses

Meet the Mentors

Do you want to be a mentor? We hire Academic Mentors in the spring semester. They attend training in the spring, and work in the following academic year. We advertise the position on the Financial Aid Work-Study website. Please get in touch with Dani Adler (dda@unh.edu), (603-862-3688) if you'd like to know more about the position and how to apply.

Mentor Evaluations

If you have met with an Academic Mentor, we have an online survey system as a means to more effectively evaluate some of our services at CFAR. These surveys are brief and very user-friendly. Please use the link below to complete surveys.
