Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of New Hampshire! As a junior at UNH, I always look forward to fall semester when I have an opportunity to meet the incoming multicultural students. When I was a freshman, I was concerned that as a black student, I would not have a community of other students of color. Thankfully, I was proven wrong and I was able to find these communities through various campus offices but especially through student organizations such as the Black Student Union. As an executive member of the Black Student Union, I am committed to emulating the same community that I found for incoming students. Therefore, on behalf of the Black Student Union, I would like to extend a warm and sincere invitation from our college family to yours to attend the Black Student Union Revisit Day.
The Black Student Union Revisit Day will be held on April 4th 2008 as a means to connect and acquaint admitted multicultural students to the UNH community. We have strategically placed BSU Revisit Day amongst the WSBE and COLA open houses to encourage you to attend your specific college’s open house as well. We invite you to arrive on Friday morning and spend the day attending a campus tour, academic panel and resource fair, and a talent show. You will be partnered with a current student who will host you during your visit to UNH. This revisit day is an excellent opportunity to familiarize yourself with UNH, meet your peers, and relay any questions or concerns you may still have.
