The Carol Thoung Award The Carol Thoung Award started in 2003 and is named after a former advisor of the BSU whose position at UNH was to recruit and retain graduating students of color while coordinating the CONNECT program. This award is to recognize graduating seniors whom during their UNH career demonstrated outstanding dedication and service to the Black Student Union. The recipients have also exhibited a commitment to making a difference while promoting education of Black cultures. Community Service Award The purpose of the award is to recognize unselfish and exceptional service by alumni to their community. Service must have been performed on a volunteer basis or professional involvement (non-paid). The recipient must be a graduate or current student of the University of New Hampshire. Young Alumni Award The Young Alumni Award recognizes exceptional achievements in career, public service and/or volunteer activities that bring honor to the University of New Hampshire. The recipient must be a graduate of the University of new Hampshire and must be aged 40 or younger. Outstanding Alumni Award The purpose of this award is to recognizes exceptional professional and personal achievement and extraordinary distinction in a chosen field. The recipient must be a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. Outstanding Faculty/Staff Award To recognize and encourage the faculty/staff whose professional service activities have been successful, outstanding and/or they have provided distinguished service to the UNH community Outstanding Student Award This award recognizes three undergraduate students who demonstrate an innovative and traditional approach to building or enhancing campus-based efforts to address community needs using diverse strategies (service, service-learning, policy work, advocacy, etc.). Current students, alumni, as well as past and present faculty and staff are encouraged to complete a Nomination Form for any deserving candidate |
