Major Joshua U. Stringer is the Professor of Military Science (PMS) at the University of New Hampshire. He is an Engineer Officer with 17 years of military experience. Major Stringer served three years as an enlisted combat engineer and was commissioned through the Officer Candidate School in 1997. He graduated from Flagler College with a BA in Secondary Education, Social Science; and the University of Missouri, Saint Louis with a MA in Public Policy Administration.

Major Stringer has deployed to Bosnia as an Area Support Team Commander in 2002, and three times to Iraq; in 2003 as a Battalion Plans Officer, in 2004 as a Company Commander, & in 2008 as a Brigade Plans Officer.
His awards include the Bronze Order of the DeFleury Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (6 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (5 OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Bronze German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.
Major Stringer is married to Andrea Stringer (17 years), and has two children, Tim (14), and Madison (12).
