March 28 – The General with Buster Keaton & Marion Mack (1927, 78 min). Keaton’s version of an actual Civil War incident: Union troops stole The General, a CSA locomotive.
April 4 – Metropolis with Henrick Georg and Brigitte Helm (1927, 82 min). German’s finest “scare” film: life in a futuristic city with a capitalistic economic system.
April 11 – Brown at Harvard with William Haines, Jack Pickford and Mary Brian (1926, 85 min). Smart-alecky boy + girl + crisis + THE GAME + great Harvard – Yale newsreel clips.
April 18 – The Student Prince in Old Heidelberg with Norma Shearer, Ramon Navarro and Jean Hersholt (1928, 105 min). Prince falls in love with commoner but must marry a princess.
