The Advanced Polymer Laboratory offers the following services:

Research projects
  • From 3 months to 4 years. Projects are staffed with technicians, undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral scientist, or visiting scientist depending on the nature of the research.
  • Staff is trained and supervised by laboratory director.
  • A standard one year project cost $110,000.
Polymer Analytical Services
  • Proportional to sample number and time requirements.
  • Thermal analysis (TGA, DMA,DSC) (PE Pyris) $200 / sample.
  • GPC (waters Millenium) $100 / sample.
  • GC-MS, HPLC, (Agilent 1100) $50 / sample + method development .
  • Particle size analysis CHDF 2000 or Microtrac S3000, or Nanotrack U250 $50 / sample.
  • Reaction calorimeter (CPA200) - time + $200/day .
  • Staff time $80/hour (sample preparation, method development, microscopy).

 Workshop
  • Core-Shell Latex Particles: Fundamental Aspects of Morphology Control. (3.5 days)
