Tuition rates do not include books.

Other Miscellaneous Expenses:

Students are required to be covered by a health insurance policy while enrolled at University of New Hampshire. 
International students may need to purchase a health insurance policy if their current policy does not provide health coverage in the United States. Please plan on arranging for this coverage, if needed, prior to your arrival on the University of New Hampshire campus.

Miscellaneous Expenses
Occasinally there are field trips coordinated that have costs assciated with them and students will have to provide their own funding. 
Students may want to purchase supplemental textbooks.
Students are required to have their own laptops. Note: you may need to upgrade your hardware.
 

If you live more than 50 miles from the UNH Durham, NH Campus.
 Students may petition each fall and spring term to have all fees except registration and technology removed from your account. After completing and signing the petition form (Petition for Variance in Academic Policy), you may submit it directly to UNH

You may still file a 'late' petition as long as you are petitioning for the current semester. However, once the semester is over, you cannot retroactively petition for a waiver of a past semester's fees.
