Who are we?

Instructors

Kathy Bird and Bruce Larson are the coaches and club advisors for UNH Kokikai Aikido. They are, respectively, a school nurse and teacher in the Seacoast area. In addition to being UNH alums (77, 78), they have practiced aikido for twelve years, most of that time at UNH. Kathy and Bruce recently were promoted to nidan (2nd Dan) and are supervised by Takashi Isobe, 5th Dan. Bruce and Kathy attend camps twice a year with the founder of Kokikai Aikido, Shuji Maruyama.
