| Durham is located in the Seacoast region of NH, approximately 15 miles from Portsmouth; 50 miles from Manchester or Nashua; 40 miles from Portland, ME; 60 miles from Cambridge, MA or Boston, MA; 230 miles from NY City; NY; and 240 miles from Montreal, CA. NH is rated as one of the most livable states in the U.S. (see Nashua, Portsmouth and Manchester in the chart below!). so the location couldn't be any better! |
Traveling By Car:
From Boston, MA:
Take I-95 North to Exit 4 (NH Lakes and
Mountains,
Spaulding Turnpike). Continue North
to Exit 6W and follow
Route 4 West for roughly 10 minutes,
past the UNH/Durham
Route 108 exit (1 mile) until you come
to the stop light. At the
light, you will see signs for the New
England Center and the
Whittemore Center. Take a left
at the light and follow the road
(Madbury Rd.) to downtown. Follow Mill
Rd. for 1/4 of a mile
and turn right into College Rd, where
you will see a parking lot
(LOT B) immediately on the left side
of the road. The Whittemore
School is the building next to this
lot!
From Concord, NH:
Take Route 4 East to the 155A exit and
then to downtown, Durham.
Take a right to Mill Rd and follow directions
as listed from Boston.
From Manchester, NH:
Take Route 101 to Epping; go north on
Route 125 the Lee Traffic Circle. Drive
East on Route 4 to the Route 155A exit.
Go right at the end of exit ramp, heading
towards campus area and Durham.
Go
straight over the railroad bridge and
past
the first traffic light. Take a right
to Mill Rd
and follow directions as listed from
Boston.
Traveling By Airplane:
Logan International Airport, in Boston,
is approximately 60 miles from
Durham. The Manchester airport is
approximately 40 miles from Durham.
Traveling By Bus:
C & J Trailways Bus Lines has
routes to the
Seacoast area and the UNH campus
from
Logan Airport and South Station
in Boston.
