Group Proposals
The following proposals were presented by student groups at a public forum on Tuesday, March 24th.
Senior and Sophomore Art & Art History Students are currently making final design selections.
Group 1:
An Unfortunate Statistic – table inspired by “Top wealthiest 1% owns 40% of the worlds resources”. Portrayed as 40/1.
Group 2:
Hungry Dialogue – dinner table scene with table cloth woven out of junk mail; chair made from cups, interactive for folks to write on.
Group 3:
The Burden – a figural sculpture that addresses class disparity; larger figure sitting on table supported by smaller figure.
Group 4:
Untitled – table sculptures that use removed or recessed figures to convey theme; collect found tables of various sizes; empty and hollowed out images; may need color to tie it together?
Group 5:
Which Seat Would You Choose? A table made of juxtaposing styles to reflect the imbalance of consumption; larger than normal table;
