Minutes

Present: Terri Winters, Steve Hardy, Pat Gormley, Tony Tagliaferro, Mark Wrighton, Randi Hickox, John McCoy, Ryan Holder

Absent: Marilyn Hoskin, Amelia Wolflin, Heather Barber, Marty Scarano, Cindy Glidden, Bill Naumes

The meeting opened with a welcome to new member Ryan Holder

The Minutes of 22 October 2002 were approved

Committee/Liaison Reports:

SAAC: Randi spoke about an A-Lot parking problem for athletes with early morning practices. The AAC recommended that SAAC take this up with Marty Scarano.

Faculty Senate: Mark said there were no issues

Student Senate: Ryan said there were no issues

Safety: Tony distributed minutes of the October Safety Committee meeting. He discussed the major topic: safe travel, especially by van. Progress on a policy will be a focus of the committee this year. The AAC will invite Steve Metcalf to the January meeting for an update. Tony also mentioned some issues with building security, which he will follow up on.

Equity: Pat noted that Matt Drayton had appeared to discuss the Life Skills program. The Committee’s also discussed the importance of filling the SWA position with a full-time person. The minority opportunities plan will be a focus of attention for the spring.
