The meeting with a discussion of the Annual Report for
1999-2000 (mailed earlier to members), specifically the committee’s fundamental
obligations:

Equity and Safety Reports

Awards Celebration
·
Other liaison work
Steve H. then passed around a list of the AAC’s Current Standing Committees and Liaisons. (see attached file)
There was some discussion about NCAA Certification, Second
Cycle. UNH is scheduled to submit an interim report in 2002.
The members discussed dates and plans for future meetings

October 17 – it is hoped that Marty Scarano will attend and make an informal presention on the “state of athletics.”
·
It was agreed that, barring some pressing issue,
we would use the November meeting time for subcommittee meetings. This will
give some momentum to the Equity, Safety, and Awards initiatives.
