AAC, Meeting of 16 November 1999 Minutes

Reports/Old Business
- FAR Report - Steve H discussed his scheduled appearance before the Faculty Senate, December 6 and his trip to FARA meetings, 11/17 to 11/19. He updated the AAC on the search for a new AD. He introduced Mark LaBarbera, the new Senior Associate Athletic Director. Mark spoke briefly about his background and his duties at UNH.
- Equity - Pat G. noted that the Equity Committee would hold its first meeting in December. The committee will plan to present its annual report tot the AAC by the April meeting at the latest.
- Awards - Carol S. reported that she would be meeting with the coaches on 11/22 to go over the new flyer and the new policy changes. The flyers have been mailed to all student athletes. The annual Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 7, 11am.
- Student Senate - Kate K. reported that the Student Senate will discuss the new alcohol policy as soon as it is ready. She also reported on discussions in the Senate about organized swearing/cheering at the Whitt.
- SAAC - Mike S. reported on the arrival of Matt Drayton, the new coordinator of the Life Skill program. He also reported on SAAC community service projects and the proposal for a SAAC newsletter and/or web site.
