ASSISTANT MUSEUM PREPARATOR (Part Time)

The Currier Museum of Art seeks an experienced art handler for the part
time (25 hrs. per week) position of Assistant Preparator.  The
successful candidate will assist the Preparator with the installation
and maintenance of exhibits, preparation of objects to be exhibited,
monitoring of the museum environment, and general art handling in our
newly-expanded 72,500 sq. ft. museum.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Completed (or pursuing) BA/BFA in Art, Art History,
Museum Studies, or a related field.  1+ years of art handling
experience.  Carpentry skills and previous experience with exhibition
installation preferred.  Knowledge of matting and framing techniques,
mount building, installation hardware, and photography desired. 
Required to lift up to 70 pounds, climb ladders, work on high lifts,
operate hand and power tools, and have valid driver's license.
