RE: Full-Scale UV Project Status

I write to provide you an update of the FULL-SCALE UV PROJECT:

1. People interested in the project should periodically visit this project WEB page: www.unh.edu/uv-gw where we will keep a running record of key project events.
   
   
2. Presently, the UV dosages to be used for both the smaller South Berwick, Maine facility and the larger Indianapolis, IN facility have been agreed upon.
   
   
3. Trojan Technologies, the UV supplier, is finalizing designs for both facilities and these designs will be reviewed by Black&Veatch, UNH-ERG and the two water utilities.
   
   
4. We anticipate equipment design and fabrication will be completed by the end of 1997.
   
   
5. Systems should begin operation in early 1998 at which point data collection on operation, maintenance and performance will proceed.
   
   
6. System start up is later than originally planned but the project remains on time and well within budget.
