STANDARD SEARCH ORDERS

S Search Is An Emergency. Something positive must be done NOW!!!

E Eliminate the ridiculously obvious. Car, bedroom, friends house, etc.

A Always be ready to respond. Remember "S"!

R Recognize current weather conditions and obtain forecasts.

C Current subject information is vital, know your search subject.

H Have up to date standard SOP's, plans, methods and contacts.



O Obtain specific, detailed orders, then follow and complete the orders!

R Rely on others as you would have them rely on you.(You can't do it all yourself!)

D Do something. If you're not busy, you're overlooking something.

E Establish an Incident Command structure, then use it, follow it, obey it.

R Realize you're limits and have others fill in when or where needed.

S Stay Alert, Keep Calm, Think Clearly, Act Decisively.




Remember that your mission is to assist the victim and his or her family, not to glorify yourself, your boss or you organization.
