Welcome to the UNH chapter of Tappi!
- Q. What is TAPPI?
- A. TAPPI stands for the Technical Association of the Paper and Pulp
Industry.
- Q. Why should I join TAPPI?
- A. If you like to learn, love to have fun and don't mind spending a
few hours a semester helping the community, then you'll LOVE
TAPPI! It will also look good on your resume and provide
scholarship opportunity. Several scholarships were unclaimed last
semester due to lack of knowledge about them.
- Q. What if I don't have any time to join any organizations?
- A. Sure you do! TAPPI meets only a couple times a semester and only a
couple hours of fund-raising (e.g. selling pizzas in Kingsbury
Hall one day during lunch hours) is requested.
- Q. I'm a poor college student. I can't afford any expensive
dues.
- A. The dues to join TAPPI-UNH are only two dollars! If you
wanted to join the National Tappi Organization, the dues are ten
dollars. Dues can be paid for by fundraising as well. The more
fundraising, the less, if it all, money you'll have to pay.
- Q. I want to learn more about TAPPI before joining. How can I do
this?
- A. Click on the National TAPPI button on the menu bar.
- Q. You've convinced me. How do I join?
- A. Just drop an email to the TAPPI-UNH President
Karin Fortin
that you're interested and she will email you with more information
regarding the next meeting.
Hope to see you at the next TAPPI-UNH meeting!
