Are the American people ready for true "grass roots" politics, a president
they can relate to and trust, a man to lead the nation who is one of them?
Entrepreneur Vincent S. Hamm of Golden, Colorado feels that the American
people have been asking for this type of leader for quite some time.
That's why he's running for President of the United States in 1996.

Its no secret that most politicians don't fit the profile of a typical
American. Hamm feels his campaign will appeal to many Americans because
he is one of them. A native Coloradan, he was employed as a computer
programmer/analyst for 15 years before starting his own computer
consulting business in 1989. He is involved in his community and, as a
business leader, actively involved in the Denver Chamber of Commerce,
Colorado Indian Chamber of Commerce, and the Governor's Small Business
Council.

Hamm is running on the Democratic ticket and his campaign platform is
based the decriminalization of drugs. "The main reason why drugs are such
big business is because there is a huge market for them. Decriminalizing
drugs would eliminate the danger and intrigue in exporting them into our
country, thus lowering the cost of the substance. The money that now goes
into the pockets of drug lords would go into the pocket of every
American," Hamm stated. "There is a significant amount of money leaving
the American economy each year to drugs - in some cases this amount has
been nearly equal to the annual inflation rate." Hamm's plan to
decriminalize drugs includes slapping a heavy tax on these substances and
putting the tax money into substance-abuse programs and towards reduction
of the federal deficit. Citizens of the United States deserve a candidate
who knows and understands their cares and concerns, making it his sworn
duty to address them. Vincent S. Hamm is a candidate for the people and,
more importantly, of the people.
