Military Service:
  Enlisted Private-February 1951
  Honorably Discharged November 1953 -  lst. Lieutenant. 
  Served in 82nd Airborne as paratrooper
  Ranger Trained and saw action in Korea as an Infantry Platoon Leader
Political Experience: 
  16 years as Mayor of Buffalo, New York (Longest term in city history)
  11 years as New York State Senator 
  4 years as Buffalo Councilman.
Accomplishments:
  Kept city and school property tax increases to 3 and 1/2% per year
   for 16 years.
  Balanced 16 yearly Budgets.
  Reduced City work force from 4,377 to 3,301;  a  24.6% reduction
   through attrition.
  Created 15,000 Jobs through 531 loans in the amount of $110 million. 
  Total investment  of $532.8 million.
  Built 1020 affordable, Single family homes---not one foreclosure. 
  Gave free paint for 25,268 structures
  Demolished 7,863 dilapidated buildings and rehabilitated 7,566 others
    ---total investment $305 million.
  Developed Buffalo's Waterfront, Downtown, and Neighborhoods.
  Built Pilot Field, finest Minor League Stadium in the United States.
  From 1978 to 1993 not one major Strike or work stoppage in the
   private or public sector in Buffalo.
  Worked with Business Community and other Governments
   for Buffalo's Development


Goals:
     Work for a Balanced Federal Budget. 

     Reduce Federal Government and work to reduce Waste and Fraud
 in Federal Programs.

     Send American Troops to Foreign Lands only in the most
 Vital interest of our country.

     Keep jobs and investment in the United States

     Have an Economic  Development Program with input
 from the Business Community

     Elect Federal District Judges, Magistrates, and U.S. Attorneys
 and appoint U.S. Supreme Court Justices for l--15 year terms.

     Reform Federal Election Law  - eliminate Political Action Committees

     Reform the Welfare System by bolstering the American Family
