IMPORTANT: The 12 Pettee Brook Lane
store front will be closing as of October 15, 2003. The store
schedule for this month is as follows:

October 8 Wednesday - STORE OPEN
REGULAR HOURS (4-7).

October 11 Saturday - STORE OPEN
REGULAR HOURS (11-2) NEED SOMEONE TO WORK THIS DAY OR WE WILL NOT
OPEN. deadline for final (for foreseeable future) Associated Buyers
orders - since we will be closed Mon.

October 15 Wednesday - STORE OPEN
REGULAR HOURS (4-7). This will be the last day we are open to the
public.

October 18 Saturday - Workers needed
10am to 2pm. Move out all the equipment we want to keep. Donate
remaining food to Cornucopia Food Pantry or sell cheap to members
who come to help with closing. Pick up Associated orders.

October 25 Saturday - yard sale or
giveaway of all remaining equipment etc. we don't want. remove
plumbing and sinks. Workers needed 10am to 2pm

October 26 Sunday - Cleaning and
closing Party at store - potluck. 3pm - 6pm (dinner at 5)

November 22 Saturday - Feast and
Renewal (food and planning) in Alison's new kitchen 4-8 pm. Get
together, cook, eat and talk about what we'd like to do, what we'd
like to be.

A Glance at Our Monthly Newsletter
Our monthly newsletter is available in Co-op on the last
Wednesday of each month (with occasional exceptions - after all life is
filled with exceptions). The newsletter contains the work schedule and
calendar for the month, minutes of past month's business meeting, phone
numbers of co-op coordinators, co-op classified ads, an article on health,
a column by the General Coordinator, and feature articles on various
issues. Stop at Co-op and pick up the latest issue of the newsletter. You
can also read the latest issue on-line or skim through articles from back

Membership in GBFC is open to all so in order to
encourage people from all walks of life to join, our policy is to remain
