HI! My name is Shauna McTeague. I am a sophomore at Lin-Wood Public School, in the very small town of Lincoln, NH. I am currently enrolled in the M&M (Math and Marine Biology) Program at UNH. I applied for this program in order to learn more about the wide world of science. It ended up being quite an experience and I really enjoyed it. My hope is to be involved in similar programs in the near future. I enjoy literature and I am thinking about going into a career in that field, but I don't want to have a broad range of opportunities open to me. I have two older sisters. One of them is a sophomore at Harvard University and the other is a senior at Lin-Wood. The one that is attending Harvard also was involved in the M&M program when she was my age and greatly enjoyed it. This may sound rude, but I would like to one day escape the grasp of my small community to see what the world holds for me. The possibilities are endless. I just have to keep my eyes open and always prepare for the future. -Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that anything that is worth knowing can not be taught.--Oscar Wilde.
