I feel that the ideal goal in life is to be happy. Throughout my life I have and will attempt to do my best to achieve this goal. This is the main reason that I have joined the Math and Marine Science program. I feel that in my endeavors here, I will take giant leaps in the direction of my goal. In order to be happy, I will attempt to achieve the following sub-goals: success, understanding (of myself and the world around me), and love--of my life and the lives of others. At U.N.H., I hope to enhance my understanding of myself and both my natural and societal environment. I sense that this understanding will lead me somewhat closer to happiness in life. Life is like a river, with its calms and rapids, I will ride with the water, rather than try to conquer it.
